Sorry no updates yet... i am very busy building 1/4 scale chassis right now.. i have stuff machined out but not complete yet. i hope to have a production run done by the end of the month... thanks for the reply.
shodog wrote:The boyer chassis above is pretty good. I have one and the quality is pretty good. Yet again it would be a copy and as you can see RC4WD have discounted them $100 just to get rid of the ones they have. The design should stand on its own.
Looks like my old one only purple with a couple lil changes.
Any how you definantly have to be orig with it. If it doesn't stand apart on something like this then why do it.
You run me in the grass imma run you in the wall, drive like a racer not a flippin idiot
I located the original manual and side panels for my Real Racing RC10 tube frames. The sand rails came with two sets of panels, one with a mirror finish and the other a paintable plain beige. I never put them on because I like the open look better....

WHAT? I did not know that this was a production hop-up option. Very nice buggy. Did they ever advertise these or sell many? You have all the fun stuff.
They apparently made 300 according to Asa's (I believe) post about the inscription on the base...
My first attempt at trying to build a tube frame. I'm thinking of building some type of sand rail.

Small update. I worked a bit on the front setup. I was thinking originally to go 1/10 in scale but it looks like 1/16 is better. The front end on there now is from a Losi micro Baja. For reference I got a shot with some 2.2 RC4WD Formula Offroad...
I've been on the hunt for a tube chassis for years. I've missed out on a few in the past so when Spanky posted some of the chassis he made, I took the bait. I bought his #2 chassis and it came in the mail today and I'm happy.

This is so killer! I've always wanted a tube sand rail since I saw that one in RC action that had the cooler and cup holders!!! That's was the 90s!
While working on the Advanced racing products reproduction project I decided to design and build a clear frame for this mid motor set up. It still needs a little design work on the rear end. I need to add support braces to stiffen up the rear end. I...

ive been curious what you've been working with too
hope you give that transmission a test run, hoping to hear the gears fit in it right before I incorporate the model with something else.
Well i am assembling a new prototype for the real racing chassis clone...
i know its not much to look at but this is what i did in the last 2 hours...

Mike,
someone had like 3 sets of chrome ones in the b/s/t area for $15 or so I think. Can't quite remember who it was or where the ad went. If I find it I'll pass it on. The chrome comes off quite easy with soaking so you can dye them afterwards. If...
Hi everyone :) , I have added this Associated history piece to my collection and would like some clarification from you.
Which model exactly is it?
Which year?
In your experience, are they all original parts?
Overall, do you consider it a nice model...
haven't logged on in a few years. As i'm getting more and more acquainted with manufacturing operations through my job, I was curious how Curtis Husting might have bent the first RC10 tub frame into shape. I'm still a novice when it comes...

As if the guy works Fridays. He is probably sitting in his nice little shed/sports room/man area/beer fridge storage area kickin back.
But your right, give it a bit he will be here and have something to say.
That was a pretty accurate guess!
