Not sure whether to sell for parts, just clean it up, or customise it with some chrome, etc?
I had one of those shock towers around 1989/90, it was designed to fit 0.71 or 1.02 shocks and was handy when you wanted to change from track to track. Can't remember who made it, but I'm thinking it was possibly "Pete's Awesome Products". Would certainly make a different version of a CE for your showcase.
Hello all, I'm new to the forums and this is my first post here... It's been probably 18 years since I last enjoyed the hobby. I now have an 11 y/o son that is interested in getting a car now. This made me go out to the garage and open a box to get...

Sorry I didn't realize there were more replies on here. Between work and family I've been really busy lately.
Lonestar,
It definitely wasn't insulting, I was being sincere. It was very helpful. I try to explain things in the same fashion so you...

Welcome to the board! One suggestion, please change your font color of your post. It's very hard to see!
You can find pretty much anything you need for a B3 on ebay. The decals will probably take some time to locate but I'm sure they pop up...
I have started with a gold A tub and 6 gear trans. RPM front arms and haven't on the rears yet. I have polished the front kick up supports and wing post.

I have made some progrees on the buggy build. The shocks have been cleaned up and rebuilt. After reading how to make the 6 gear trans smoother, I want to take this one back apart and clean up the gears better. I will be running the tires and wheels...
Since I finished my last RC10 Gold Pan, my buddy who painted the body for it, handed me his RC10 Worlds car that he's had in a cabinet for some years. I essentially traded a Hitec servo for it. I think I made out in the deal.
My plan is to go...

Hoping everything will be here tomorrow and I'll have it stripped down and cleaned by this weekend.
Lookin to spend no more that $160 for a brushless system for a RC10 rebuild. I was lookin at Novaks and the Traxxas VXL. What do you think?

All Novaks are good for is putting on a smoke show for the spectators
Their motors are good though I run a 5.5t with Mamba Max.. I thought ROAR finally allowed sensorless?
If you don't wanna go completely nuts with 2.5t motors a Hobbywing...
Hi guys, new here. I recently found an original RC10 car, box, manuals, etc. in my parents' basement that my brother and I had as little kids in the mid-80's. It's a #6010 kit. *Personal disclaimer - I know virtually nothing about this stuff!
Now...

I've been gone for a while, you've made progress!
Looking at your receipts makes me scared to think of what I've spent on r/c- and I've only been in the hobby for 3 and 1/2 years!
Keep in mind the charger and soldering iron are one-time expenses,...
I wanted to get a taste of the rc10 prior to purchasing the rere but couldn't wait! This one has been on the shelf in bits for a long time. Bought from the USA, I took a chance on it. The chassis is an A stamp and I think it was used as an on road...

Good to know, but bear in mind they will add considerable weight to the car. I intend to run mine, but not for racing just the occasional stroll!
Same here with the one I am building...Not a racer but something to take to the tennis courts and have...
Got this car back in the day from my uncle and it sat in the closet for many many years. Recently I began to rebuild it, basically everything is stock except for dying white parts black
I'll let the pictures do the talking :P
