Your Hopper looks to get along pretty well there. Personally I would struggle not to hit that tree when doing laps. 😁

That looks like a fine area to raze the earth and build a full on race track.

It's the front garden and recently described as Lawn by one of my neighbour's  I sneaked in a little jump but I'd be skinned alive (a regular traditional spousal punishment in the UK) by my wife if a built a track
If a jobs not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well.

I saw that little jump back there. Very inspirational. 😁

Maybe if there was a thoughtful approach, like a proper track layout adorned with flowers and similar nature puffery in the non-driving areas. Sort of a like grand showcase track. I know my wife would roll her eyes at that, but I would still try if I had a plot like that.

I got away with the jump because the wife decided to put in a flower bed , she never finishes a job so she left the turf and soil there in a heap , I just gently massaged it into a jump , confidentially behind the scenes I'm winning

I found I had a set of the same modern 2.2 wheels and tires but with a softer foam , its very slightly better still , I also remembered another motor I had that I though might be good , it's the stock motor for the WLtoys A959 , I'm not sure of its proper model number but its a lower turn 380 diameter can but longer , like the comparison between a 540 and a 550 but with a 380 , anyway its much quicker , almost as quick as the 540 I was using but much lighter :D pretty pleased with how its running now . That means more Video tomorrow .

That seems like a proper Hopper. Nicely done!

But if it had that brushless motor.... 😜

That new video looks good! Sure footed.. Reducing the unsprung weight has definitely made a difference.

Thinking Scorpion Re Re tires , high profile and really soft , print some light weight wheels , could be good .

There is an adapter on Shapeways to use the Scorpion wheels.

Have you weighed the Scorpion wheels to see if that's an option to explore?

The Scorpion wheel and tire is 48g so still nearly 20g lighter each , that's with the foam fitted , the wheels I have are all glued so I can't weigh the foam , they are more damped than the hornet tires because of the foam but would be softer still without it .
