That may be slightly difficult to convert to old school.

Gonna be an interesting collection of tires and wheel adapters.

LOL, shame it was 1200's and 1700's back then but ya i actually sort of miss when runtime was as much a part of your setup as handling.

:D Pencil me in!!!

I'll bring an RC10 for the 2WD class, and my camera to take tons of pictures. It will be great to meet everybody finally.

I'd like to bring my Clod to run in the Heavy Metal class too. But, it's got new JPS axles and a Boyer chassis. That's too new right? Boyer wasn't around bitd, and my axles are the newer style with the rear reversed. Oh, and it's got CVD's and ball diffs. Old school truck with newer parts. Too new right? Maybe I'll race my Lunchbox instead! That would be a blast, or at least a handful.

I guess now I've finally got to convert to LiPo. At least that way I'll know I'm loosing because of my poor skills, not because of junk equiment.

Or... maybe I'll have to break out my old Fox. My first real R/C car. It's kind of close to running condition. I raced it once or twice on an oval bitd, before I bought a Jrx2. Hmm, that might be a total blast. I wonder if the shocks hold oil. :?:

Oof, I can't stop thinking about this. I just have to thank Erich and whoever else is planning this event. THANKS!! As some of you know, and some more may have guessed, my interest in vintage R/C has leveled off and has maybe even started to fall off slightly. This is what it's all about, I'm so stoked! I can't wait to tear through my tubs of parts and tweak and test an old buggy to actually compete again. 8) I'll probably start sorting parts out THIS week. Four months of planning and tweaking, and I'll still be happy just to be able to place last in a vintage buggy race.

Erich, you mentioned a free t-shirt. Do you need someone to make the design? I'm happy to volunteer my services if you don't have anyone yet.

Sh&t :?

USA looks a really really long way for this race !
But why not a world championship each year
Last year I'm in Japan, may be next year in South Africa...
I hope we could turn evry year and organise the second edition in Europe .

I want to fight on track with my Yok's, RC10's, Cat's or Predator !

We could use one different car at each run ?

I am so excited about this meeting! Can´t wait to visit the states with Sebastian.

Maybe there are some more german drivers. So we can make the trip together. We want to flight from Hamburg/Germany.

Good, that I have a competitive car now! Haha! Next weekend there is a national-race here and Sebastian and me will be there with our RC10´s. Yeahh!

Or go for the 1900's:

I was thinking a spec battery would be a good idea...and the nicads would allow vintage charging methods.

That would save us from taking chargers and power supplies with us. Two stings of cable and maybe a few resistors are so much lighter!

Yeah, Erich. What he said. I think we could start an entire thread dedicated to just thanking you. I know everyone wanted to do something like this, but were unable. You got the ball rolling and interest peeked. This is going to be huge and in my opinion, something we will see every year.

If all goes well, I'll be there to thank you personally.

i'm real tempted to get my halsey replica done and race that, or one of my tq10's. i don't know, there's too many vehicle choices in my basement.
If I come up, I'll be bringing the wifes Scorcher 10 (assuming I have it done). But if gas hits $4 a gallon, I may have to cancel.

732 mi – about 12 hours 4 mins

If I do make it, who would be interested in splitting a room with me if the wife does not go?
