Well I finally found the right little guy, in almost perfect condition 8) It came with an early Edinger that is not in bad shape, but missing the front ribbed tires, diamond wing mounts and fiberglass battery straps. I will post a pic of the car later...

The very first Novak ESC has actually no screws to lock the box, it is only secured with a black tape:

The heat sink is quite bulky and nicely machined, quite different from the later versions:

It has 3 pots instead of two for the later version presented here before:

And the switch is quite old school as well:
