Re: New guy with an old RC10
the mounts that screw to the chassis are on the wrong sides. they're marked left and right.
cover on the left is the correct one.
cover on the left is the correct one.

Re: New guy with an old RC10
Thanks scr8p! Any idea where I can buy that gear cover? I will have to put this one back on eBay. Thanks for the heads up on the rear arm mounts. I am trying to get this thing back as close to original as I can. I looked for the left and the right when I put it together but I didn't see it, I will look again when I change them around.. Thanks again for the big help.

no problem.slotcarrod wrote:Yo scr8p, I might jack that pic for the 25 year thread!

ebay would probably be your best bet to get the correct one. though if you hang on to that one, if/when you get bst access here, maybe you could use it for trade.fiveonomo wrote:Thanks scr8p! How much for the gear cover that you have here? I will take it off your hands if the price is right.fiveonomo wrote:Thanks scr8p! Any idea where I can buy that gear cover? Re: New guy with an old RC10
I have no idea what they are worth. I was in several auctions on eBay and would lose them all, so I decided to pay a little more for this one. I paid $18 and with shipping it was $21. I would love to get my money back but probably not going to happen. What will you pay for it? No chance you have the one I am looking for do you? How about a body for the Rc10?

Re: New guy with an old RC10
I was hoping for $10 shipped. I did not think that it would be as high as you got it. Must have been a huge battle between some buyers that shot up the price above market value or something.
I just did this search on eBay. It would appear that team blue groove is doing some replica stuff. Not sure, but it also looks like there is another one for a 6 gear tranny in this search as well.
Take a look.

Re: New guy with an old RC10
Thanks mdutcher. Does the one in auction 140910598556 look to be authentic for my RC10 or do you think it is a reproduction. I am not sure. I may keep the other gear cover for another car I might build soon. I have two other chassis and some parts that came with this RC10.
Re: New guy with an old RC10
I swapped the rear mounts for the rear arms. I saw the L and the R on them this time, plain as day. They are correct now right?

That is what I was thinking as it does look like it, but I am not for certain.fiveonomo wrote:Thanks mdutcher.
