Re: Scr8p's shop
Yeah, there's a lot of work being done in between those pics.
It's kinda nice having jobs like that every once in awhile. We normally only do full restorations and they're there for a year or two. You get sick of looking at them to be honest and can't wait until they're done and gone.

Yeah, it's all new steel. The body is from Brookville. Not sure who made the chassis.

What's your opinion of California Car Dusters or the Meguiars duster? What is your favorite method of dust removal?

Re: Scr8p's shop
100 mph usually does the trick.
We've had a California duster for years. It seem to work aright. The biggest issue is when the strands get caught under a molding or something and you gotta try to dig it out with tweezers or a toothpick. But if the paint isn't super smooth (meaning waxy), it sort of just pushes the dust around. You can get it off, but nowhere near as easy.

Re: Scr8p's shop
This 55 Chevy my dad and I build about 10 years ago is gonna be going across the block this weekend at Barrett Jackson. The owner has been stricken with dimentia, so his brother has been selling off his estate to pay for the cost of his care. He's been trying to sell it for awhile now with no real solid offers, but it looks like it's going "no reserve" so I hope it brings good money for him.
