OK Now we really need repros... Looks like its just a matter of time before the Viper and Protech turn discontinued.

There must be good alternatives. I think we need a sticky thread with pictures of the various non associated bodies that poeple on the board have been using...

I'm also quite disappointed. I have a few NIB bodies but I suck at paintin. I don't want to use them for a runner anymore either...

Guys and gals, I have a fellow buying my 12R motor tomorrow. That will give me enough money to finish getting what I need to start reproing some bodies. I do not have an uncut viper or sidewinder, but I have the mold almost ready for the protech and a new protech II body. I will only be selling the pritech II replicas seeing as how it is the only one discontinued that I have right now.

That citroen is a 1/18 scale or close, won't fit an rc 10 ever. Tamiya made a copule 190/200mm shells for touringcars but that's narrow for a buggy.

I think I've seen rally orparis-dakar styled citroens on gas buggies from lesser brands in europe. those may fit but you'll have to search hard

i have access to a brand spanking new, untrimmed viper body. i have also found a man who will do really small runs of vac formed bodies for me too. i'm going to get some replicated cos, like you lot, i need bodies BIG TIME.

the thing is, i have to take a mould from the original and my friend will slaughter me with small blunt spoons if i mess his body up. i've never done this before and would love some tips as to the best way of doing this while making sure no damage is done to the original body.

hi mr. ed,

i was just kidding  i don't like citroen at all.
in germany they have the reputation to be the teacher's dream car
or are only driven by members of a socialist party. if you are after one hot chick ... don't brag with your citroen or she'll make her getaway faster than you'll notice.

I knew a guy who worked for the Kyosho importer a long while ago. They started selling a 2CV (ente in germany). It was used for touring cars if I remember well.
He told me it was their number 1 selling body for a long while, but I never saw it on any car

At tower it now say "on order" for the viper and protech... what does that mean? How is this different from "late August"? I know we're in September...

Does it mean something is happening?

I think that's their default status after the month has passed and there is no product in stock.

Terry, even though you know just about everything there is to know about RC history :D , I am about 99.9% sure that AE used an MRP body for the Pro-110 for the proto. The kick up in the rear and the lack of a window net (as Bolink used a window net in theirs) are the give aways. I believe that MRP was the first to do a lexan verison of the Rough Rider back in the day.

MRP that's it! I couldn't remember who made it but knew it wasn't Bolink or Parma (no rear kickup).

The MRP Pro110 shell is exactly the same as the MRP Rough Rider shell, after all if you already make a body that will fit on your buggy why make a new one.

It's the MRP one that Kamtec have copied. I must try my Kamtec shell on my RC10 to see how well it fits.
