who likes beer?
who likes beer?
This is the off topic section, and there's nothing I like better than a good wrench session and a frosty beverage.
What's everyone's favorite ale? I drink just redneck beer most of the time like Bud Light or something yellow and fizzy like that.
But when I'm in the mood for a really good beer here in Tennessee I have to go to the LIQUOR, not the beer store and get a Stone Brewing Arrogant Bastard. If you've never had one it's a great beer and hard to find if you're not on the west coast of the US.
Reading the back of the bottle is the best part, that and getting a healthy buzz off just one beer

Eyes left and if I'm in the need of a real kick I drop double Malibus in them

Re: who likes beer?
I brew my own, when I don't do that, I go to the local brew pub for theirs. I don't typically buy bottled beer unless I'm traveling and need a quick fix. Even then, I'm usually hunting out the local brew pub for a sampling.

Re: who likes beer?
Personally I prefer a good scotch, but when I do search out beer I tend to go for the trip down memory lane- Heffenreffer (Private Stock). Rebus puzzles and intoxication will forever go hand-in-hand.
The preceding contained opinions, beliefs and thoughts that all may not agree with. No offense was intended at any point. Carry on.

I'm super busy at work, but when I saw this I just had to log in.
Busch Light!
If I'm feelin' high society Red Stripe or Corona. If I'm just going 6 pack I like to pick up some Mickey's Big Mouths. Technically a malt liquor, but I like it.

Not a fan of beer either when Liquor can get you there quicker.

Re: who likes beer?
I never used to be a beer drinker either, until I moved to a place that regularly sees 100 degree temps in the summer. After that, there was nothing better than an ice, and I mean ICE cold beer to help ya through the day. Now, I really like the flavor of beer - I guess I should say GOOD beer - and am always on the lookout for a well crafted brew.badhoopty wrote:some dudes are simply flabbergasted by me saying this, but i find beer one of the nastiest things ever. the darker the beer the worse.
I suspect that you're much like me and do not like bitterness, which MOST beers are. Bitterness is generally associated with hoppy beer, so if you stick with maltier beers such as porters or ambers, you'll probably find one you like. When you buy macro swill, the likelihood of a bitter beer is almost guaranteed, though there are a few that aren't too bad. Buttwiper is probably the worst beer on the market, they've just had the ability to advertise and dominate the market with their brand of swill.

I stick with the good trustworthy pabst. It's cheap and gets the job done. If my paycheck was good then maybe corona. However if I'm in Canada then it has to be Kokanee on tap. Man it's so good up there.

I'm more of a whiskey guy, non sour mash please, but either way I tend to gravitate towards Canadian stock.
