Somehow I "accidently" clicked the BIN button on this truck. Needs a gear cover and body.

There are 4 T2 bodies on the same site as you found that truck--all under $20--and a couple of RPM gear covers for around $9 there for it too--, and I almost punched the same button

Is the RPM gear cover for the T2 is the same as the B2? The only ones I have found say B2/B3/T3.

Here's the ball bearing bellcrank that came with the truck. I moved the nose plate back to the position shown in the build manual (you can see the marks left from the original installation.) I don't know if I like the fact that the nuts on top of the screw posts are what tighten the noseplate to the chassis. Feels OK using the twist test but I don't know.

Could you use some thin nuts under the bell cranks to hold the nose plate tight? It would raise the cranks a bit but I don't think it would be a problem.

It might work, but the concern would be clearance between the steering linkage tie rods, and the inner camber links rod ends.

Possibly a better solution would be to drill two new holes in the chassis, so as to screw the nose plate securely to the chassis in two additional locations, in the holes where the previous steering belcranks were mounted.

this is how i run the steering on my rc10t and it works great..i put nuts on the screws holding the chassis together..

really why?? i ask cause i know a guy that may sell me the steering setup you have and i was thinking of buying it if the price was right.. i have my rc10t frontend set up the same way you have in pic im just using ae short steering set up (rc10gt part) http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LX3358&P=PU if the bb steering your using is not that great ill just stay with my set up..

I think I'm correct in that the T2 and GT share a common stock bellcrank and the unit in the pix (I don't know the maker) is MEANT for the 2nd gen GT which does not use a separate nose plate. The switch is a matter of convenience.
