Lazer ZX Body Question
Anyone know if the Long Wheel Base Optima Mid bodies can be made to fit a Lazer ZX?

Re: Lazer ZX Body Question
Sure, you can but side cut and trimming of chassis is needed.

Trim the chassis? Isn't the Lazer chassis more narrow than the LWB mid? Where would I have to trim?

Re: Lazer ZX Body Question
The problem is front and rear side parts of chassis,
Look at the below comparison photos.
Above chassis is my custom made for fitting LWB or ZX-S body.
The chassis laid in bottom is normally designed zx chassis (Cabon optional)
If you really want to leave the chassis, you have to trimm the under tray and body but I can not recommend due to reducing anti-dust.

Re: Lazer ZX Body Question
1 Its possible to trim youre chassi making it narrover.
2 You can order an specific chassi from fiberlyte that is made for the ZXS and the LWB bodys its narroved and balanced.
http://www.fibre-lyte.co.uk/fl/cars/kyosho/jilazer.html
3 You can get the body to fit making the undertray fit first then followed by the body

Re: Lazer ZX Body Question
On the fibrelyte website the james instone kyosho chassis is the one that fits, and based around the zxs, however the zxs one wont fit your car as its a different car. Your main problem is the position of the servo which needs to be moved inwards. I used an rc10b2 servo mounts and moved it in using the other holes on the chassis.

Re: Lazer ZX Body Question
La35 gear cover, i will ask mate, also still awaiting the parts so will chase. Dont worry its been confirmed that the last few in the world are being shipped to me.
I felt like a change with the name. Youll never guess whos turning up to the petit event in january, if you can guess who designed the zx5 then youll be right, and no its not Gill Losi.
