XX rear shock tower

Just wondering if any one knows if you can fit the XXCR rear shock tower/wing mount to a standard XX? It's getting harder to find wing wires for the XX (still have a few left), and the XXCR shock tower/wing mount is a more modern style with body clips rather then the wire. For future racing it would be nice to have something a little newer in case the original breaks and then I am stuck.

the xxcr still uses the wire the xxx uses mounts? no you cant cross the xxx and xx towers

That's what I though as wel until I came across this, have a look at this on the bay

Looks like a XX with wing mounts with body clips rather then the wire. After I saw this I thought all the XXCR's were like this. Maybe this is some kind of one off mod? What do you guys think?

Well I just went and looked at my 2 XXcr's and ther is a flat spot on the tower, you could drill it for the xx4 ming mounts like that person did. it should work just fine. I almost did that to mine but their are not predrilled holes in the xx towers.
