Double X double vision
First is a XXCR Kinwald Edition. Everything is new with exception of the elusive motor plate..
Goodies: Losi Hydradrive, new D2 Motor, Trinity World tech scrc's.
Looking for a Novak Cyclone ESC and Mercury receiver to plop in it.... I also need a set of the blue wing buttons to finish her off.
And, as usual, needs paint.

Re: Double X double vision
Next, a XXCR. I believe it is more of a regular XX but it has the XX wheels and body, so I will fudge it and call it a CR. All new.
Goodies: Losi Hydradrive, Red label Kinwald motor, RPM gearcover, XXL body.
I need to source a correct battery strap for it.

Re: Double X double vision
Very nice Brandon - Especially the Kinwald
By the way... didn't the Kinwald car come after the CR & have the CR style 2 peice rear wishbone mounting system? Your Kinwald has the original XX one-piece item - just wondered, i'm probably wrong
I have a XX NIB that i'm collecting (upgrade) parts for.... i'll have to get on building it - its crowning glory will be the Xcellerator shell I got from yourself

Re: Double X double vision
Hmm, looking at the XXCR exploded view, it looks like it came with a 1 piece mount. They did make a rear suspension revision parts kit after the CR came out, maybe the 2 piece mount is included in it?DerbyDan wrote:Very nice Brandon - Especially the Kinwald![]()

Re: Double X double vision
Yes, that diagram shows the CR rear end - the rear pivot support is in two parts - this was the main difference between the original XX & the CR. The original XX had in-board toe which came from the one peice pivot support, the CR had the toe built into the hubs (which could be changed for different settings) The now removable hinge support could also be changed with ones of different anti-squat - the whole plate had to be changed with the XX.Brandon G wrote:

When the CR came out you could buy an update kit to convert an original XX into a CR
Original XX pivot support plate (one peice)
This is a CR update kit (it also included front C hubs & steering arm changing the caster - to 25deg IIRC?)
The XX CR shared its rear wishbones, hubs & I think the pivot too, with the later XXX - I don't remember there being any further suspension updates after the CR?
