This is a JRX-2 I bought new back in the eighties - I raced it up until 1989 (or maybe 1990), then threw it in the closet... until the R/C virus flared-up again in 2002.
I rebuilt the shocks and transmission at that time, otherwise, this is the exact set-up I raced with in the eighties.

Yes, this is real, 20 year-old patina, not the re-created "faux-tina" that they paint on the "Trucks!" show on Spike TV... ((To be honest, I really enjoy the Powerblock on Spike TV.))
My plans for this buggy include a good ground-up cleaning, newer electronics, and plenty of gentle run time out in the front yard... I don't want to alter the basic rolling chassis, since it was my old racer.

Sounds like your putting the old girl out to pasture... LOL

Oh man!!! I bought a JRX2 brand new too! They were on close out, and going cheap. I use to race dirt oval with an rc10 and that pink Monster Horsepower was the house motor. Cool car, looks clean!!
This is a converted JRX-2 that I have had for several years (I got it off eBay, years ago).
- The transmission is reversed (for mid-motor arrangement), and the motor-plate has been switched back to the right-hand side (so it does not require...

I recently brought these two Losis (or is it Losi' :?: :| ) A Jrx Pro & a Jrx2, following a tip-off from Janus here on this forum. They also came with a whole bundle of spares, wheels & tyres, a couple of Novak ESCs & a number of motors (including a...

I see your point - thats why I asked about clear protection film - that way at least I can protect the chassis from getting worse whilst I use the car.... then still use it if I decide to build a minty car for the shelf
James/Vintage Racer, please contact me via PM. I have sent a couple of PMs and from what I can tell they have been read. I have your payment, but need to know what you want to do. If anyone down under is in contact with him, tell him to shoot me a...
I started building this thing about a year ago and it was going to be my ’09 VONATs car. I’d stopped working on it when I realized I wasn’t going to make it, but I thought I’d go ahead and finish it before moving on to another project. I suppose...

Just an FYI - I ordered a pack of those stand-offs from Sheldon's and they are the same 1 ones used on the RC10 chassis. All 6 are tapped for 4-40 screws.
I bought this JRX-T from another forum member years ago - it may have been from Bearickster(?), I'm not entirely sure.
Anyhow, I never found the time to do anything with it, so I am making plans to sell it on to another member.
This model has a...

Brilliant! Thanks very much for the detailed response.
I am planning to use this on an LXT where the tower sits flush with the bulkhead, so this should bolt right on (after I massively enlarge the standoff holes to account for my poor measuring and...
Hey Losi Fan's I am new here and my 2nd post and glad to be here. I got a few Vintage 80's/early 90's cars and looking forward to disussion of the great RC hobby.

Since I am a Losi whore I decided that I needed a new body for the crawler. I drew out a ton of ideas with fancy curves and some flame things. It sat for a couple of weeks and then it hit me. I have been racing?running Losi's since 89'. In that time...
