BlueGroove LXT body

Post by JK Racing »

anyone have one? i am almost done restoring an original LXT conversion truck, i am only short yellow front wheels and the body. i am sure i can find the yellow wheels, but the body...no chance of an original, but the bluegroove one is available.

any reviews? before i pick it up, this will be a runner, i dont want to pick it up and it be garbage. if not an LXT body, i will end up with the xxcr truck body again.

from other posts on here, blue groove's lexan sucks and will pretty much shatter in a small impact.

The Optima Mid body I got from them is actually quite nice. Quite an improvement over the JRX2 shell.

i bought a samurai body and TRX1 body from him, he is using a different lexan now. its a GE plastic he is using, he includes the underside sheet peeled off in the packages and protective wrap inside the box, its different stuff than he was using which i ordered from him a while ago, the lexan seems MUCH MUCH more flexible. On his older body when i scored and snapped it, it did it VERY easy, now its much tougher to snap it.

Me too on the Samurai body. Seems like he has found the right stuff finally.

Hi guys, glad to hear that the new body shells are better now. I have a batch of the JRX2 shells that were very brittle too. Does anyone know if Team Blue Groove is doing the JRX2 shells with the better lexan now?

hmmm... well it's too bad I'm not getting a response on ebay from him. I guess I'm stuck waiting for Mr Lexan for now.

Yep I have 2 of bluegroove shells.

I must have got the 1st one of the new batch and i had problems with the sides of the shell curling up as it was so thin. After a e mail to him he said to use velcro on the side and attach to the chassis. For methis was not a option as my truck is a JRX flat plate chassis with lxt suspension and tranny.

So he re did the shell to be a little thicker and a crease line half way down with a little z lip all along the bottom. Looks better like side skirts to me. This really helped. Gave me the revised version and another body of my choice.

Great customer service

I have a Top Force, Super Shot and JRX2 shells. All very good.
