Re: jrxt and lxt body
If you are looking for unpainted bodies, the closest you can get are some of the old truck bodies from mccalisterracing.com They had a few left at the track that ran the vintage nationals 2 weekends ago. take a look at the thread in the main section for their contact info.
Original unpainted jrx-T bodies go for just over $100 when they come up on ebay. I have never seen an original unpainted lxt body, but I have not specifically been looking for one either.
Welcome aboard!

Re: jrxt and lxt body
I have been looking for a while for these as well. I have found a select few bodies that are painted and never ran. I just won a couple jrx2's on ebay a few ago. One of those was painted but never ran. I have an LXT that has been painted and never ran as well. This is the best way to go if you don't want to spend more for a body than a roller.
Edit: Forgot to mention this ebay listing for a GTX. It has an unpainted body on it. I am pretty sure it is an LXT?!

Re: jrxt and lxt body
I could be mistaken, but I don't think that's an lxt body on that truck. The lxt rear shock tower is closer to the front, and the "bubble" on that body looks too far back.

Re: jrxt and lxt body
That's not an LXT body on that truck. Not sure what it is, but It looks way different in the rear shock tower area.
Saddens me to see what the thing actually sold for. Somebody got a steal.
Doc J33p: good doin business with ya! (jrx2 bodies)

He he. I noticed you started to strip one of the bodies. It was the unused one I believe. What did you use. I want to be careful and not haze the lexan. If done right, will it look almost new? Why did you not keep them?
Thanks for the auction BTW.

Re: jrxt and lxt body
I sold both cause I bought 2 new ones from Erich. That's why I stopped stripping the one. Jumped into it, found out the next day he was repopping them, then stopped. It's not hard to do, just takes time. The new one will be like new when the rest of the paint is gone. It was a relatively thin coat of the Pactra paint.
I was using nitro fuel. As long as you don't let it pool, it will not fog the lexan. Get a crappy washcloth, soak a portion in fuel, then wipe on paint. Let sit for a few minutes, and wipe off with the same cloth. Repeat. Make sure when you finish whether it's all gone or not, to wash the body with dish soap and water.
I will get them in the mail to you tomorrow. Had to find a suitable box at work today.

Re: jrxt and lxt body
True, the losi stuff gets little respect, I just don;t understand it. The motor with the aftermarket heatsink head by itself would likely fetch that much. (I know first hand this as I was recently needing to replace one I cooked on my GT.)bngiles wrote: Saddens me to see what the thing actually sold for. Somebody got a steal.
