Original LXT Conversion truck

Post by JK Racing »

I aquired this truck a few years back, from the original owner. He told me it started life as a JRXT, but when Losi released the LXT Conversion/upgrade kit, he put that on. It has been in a box getting dusty and older by the day, so I pulled it out and cleaned it up the best I could...I cant find the body I got with it :(

I found (in digging through my LXT box of parts) I had original tires/wheels, so I cleaned these up and put them on there also. I do not plan on finding a NIP chassis or other parts, just get a clear body (trimmed and mounted) on there.

As much as I cannot stand having an RC car I cannot drive...This one will be put on display (after I get a body), to remind me of my favorite Losi Truck.

Very pretty! What is the orange mark on the turnbuckles, was that factory? I am assuming so but do not recall?

that was actually something I always did to help me put all the turnbuckles on the same direction...sorta like how lunsford puts the little line on their turnbuckles so they all get installed the same (forward to shorten, rearward to lengthen)...

After 20 years at this I never thought of that. I like to put them on and turn till I realize after five minutes I am going in the wrong direction over and over

I never even noticed the line on my lunsfords, I am calling this is a successful learning day and calling it quits, thanks. 8)

I raced the LXT last winter in Texas. It did very well and is easy to drive. I even went brushless and everything stood up. Parts are a little hard to find like a body. Ebay. Sure is a nice clean truck!!!

why did you change your original post?

all i said was that they were yellow rims with the lexan discs, NOT a solid dish rim. i could care less if one was darker than the other.

sorry one! but you are incorrect sir, a lot of losi box art pictures show one thing but the kit contains another.

both my nib pro se and lxt conversion have neon yellow, ive never even seen a mustard colour set of lxt rims.

maybe the lighting with the magazine photo was "off"...

Ive been racing Losi cars since '87, at Ranch Pit Shop none the less...never seen mustard wheels. Doesnt mean they dont exist, I've never seen them!
