Hi everyone. Just found this site yesterday, very nice and the projects you guys have are even nicer! Long time and current racer, been racing since around 88 or 89. I currently race stock and mod truck with an mf2, yeah I know! Last year picked up two gold tubs one a six gear and the other a champ ed. Anyways got hooked on them and decided to get another this week, a team car on ebay. My goal for next year is to race the team car against all the modern cars and try to make the the a main with it, call me crazy!

Cool. Is there anyone here that currently races their alum tubs? If so are you using 2.2 wheels? Am I correct in thinking that the b2 wheels are the right offset? Thanks in advance.

ya, the b2 wheels will work. you have to put 3/16" axles in the rear, though. and also change the hub carrier bearings to 3/16 x 3/8.

Thanks for the quick reply. I saw in another post that someone was making a mold for the old hot bodies body. Was he planning on selling this? Wish we could get Jconcepts to whip up a new style lid for us. Maybe if there was enough interest they would!

ok, put up a picture then :)

could be later stuff: Kyosho had black plastic shocks following the design of their gold shocks, but they are not botom loaders.
Yokomo also sold some black anodized shocks, with white plastic retainers around 92.

Like that but a darker anodizing. The bottom looks just like that with the groove for the clip, and the top is smooth. with no hex like the associated.

those just look a little light because of the flash. they're actually teflon coated.

so i'd say yours are mip's.
