Worlds parts...Like hens teeth?
OK, How hard is it to find worlds parts nowadays? Is it so bad that anybody who wants parts has to be a millionaire? Or has the parts supply just dried up? Or are one of you here just hoarding parts for "investment" purposes?
What does a working (when I get a new job) stiff have to do if I need parts?? AARGHH!!! I'm tired of dealing with e-Blah, thats why I'm here! Sorry for the rant, but I would never have traded off my old parts years ago when then they were new if I thought I couldn't get replacements later. I still have the pan from my original worlds chassis, but gave the rest of the car to my buddies who raced with me. eventually I want to do something with it. Are there any reproductions, or does anybody still make parts? I know RPM made parts, but who else? I do know atlas makes the rear shock tower.

Atlas makes the front and rear towers, the rear bulkhead brace and the battery strap. Other than the milled black chassis, what else is there?

eh....not much, except for specific wheels, and the steering bellcranks. everything else is just late model nylon moldings.

the rear arms were a new molding, but I don't think they were worlds specific, ie, they were on all the last production run cars, no matter what the model. I could be wrong though...I never had one, and never will probably.....the 'faux' car I built to my specs is neater to me, since it's the only one like it.

Yes, many of the latest parts are still available from Tower Hobbies. I think the steering bellcrank system is a real tough one to find, though.

Steering bellcrank I do have. I picked up a bunch of rpm steering sets back then. The chassis isn't nice enough to be resto'd but I'd love to do a killer new/old car with it. Are the current RPM arms the same as the "worlds" ones they used to make?

ok up until now i think you and everybody else are talking about 2 different "worlds" cars. associated made a worlds car and rpm made a "worlds" conversion. both were completely different setups. as stated the associated worlds car parts can be found. now the rpm worlds parts are a bit more expensive.
the rpm arms on tower are the same length as the stock long arms from associated. they are shorter than the rpm "worlds" conversion arms. the parts that work for rpm replacements are out there though. for the rpm front bulkhead you can use the associated front truck bulkhead. the longer arms can be bought from dynotech. now the dynotech arms are made different than the rpm arms but are the same length. now the rpm rear arm mounts for the narrowed chassis you will have to snag off of ebay when they pop up. and a replacement front shock tower can be found through fyberlite in a carbon version. atlas may make one of these also but i am not 100% sure.
and the nylon rpm world's chassis.. all i can say is good luck on that one.
