What Brushless could i run in my rc10t without the slipper melting?
I've got an ez run 8.5t or the RTR brushless out of my B4.1 just dont want anything bad to happen!
On the hunt for parts to do the topshaft conversion so i wont have this problem soon.
Thanks
The original slipper works fine too, just don't run it too loose or it will heat up and glaze the pad. I run the original slipper with a 10.5 with no problems.

Aaaaahhhh crap! I'm about to get passed by that orange truck!
I'm gonna come out and say that I for one have had poor luck using stealth slippers with Brushless setups on my 10Ts.
Now I don't doubt that a major part of the problem is that I have a lead foot (err finger), but it's to the point where now I'm thinking of doing swapping over the B4/T4 dual slipper system to my stealth trannies.
First I switched to the "later" (T3) larger slipper, still glazed pads, then I picked up a 10T-style Robinson Racing "keyed" slipper system, but replacement pads are becoming somewhat hard to find.

I agree the B4/T4 slipper is far superior to the old setup, but I'm using it with a buggy. The smaller tires put less stress on the slipper.

I got a complete top shaft and slipper for $8 off ebay, there are lots of parted out kits on there. If you buy the pieces at retail I think it adds up to $25- $30

I have been running the slightly larger B3/T3 slipper on a 2.65 RPM tranny on a sick bite track with a 6.5 and have had to run it on the tight side, but otherwise no real problems, other than it's a bitch to set over the B4 type on the buggy ( I need to get off my lazy rear and order the right top shaft )
Thanks for your replies guys, i havent swapped over to the b4 slipper yet, just missed one on e-bay. I think i might hold tight with the brushless till i get payed. think its cheaper going the b4 option even with the retail price for new bits if i cant find a split kit. I dont fancy replacing a melted stealth slipper, think i'd cry! especially as i'd have to get from the states i expect as i have to with a lot of associated stuff. there's only a cerain amount of stuff you can still readily get over here
Can the T4/B4 slipper fit on the RPM 2.65 conversion transmission top shaft?
I run the T3 slipper but I'd rather run the T4 one if possible, I just thought the RPM shaft was too short.
Nope, B4/T4 top shaft has the same tooth count as the old stealth (please correct me if im wrong guru's), the RPM conversion tranny has a lesser count., unless you remove the gear off the top shaft that came with the RPM tranny and place it on the B4 Top shaft then i think you can be able to use the B4/T4 shaft onto a RPM conversion casing. Please post results if you will be doing this.... will surely follow if it works...

go buy a b4 topshaft and all b4 related slipper parts. press the topshaft gears off of both topshafts, then press the rpm gear on the b4 topshaft.
the only reason the b4 slipper setup doesn't work directly on the rpm hydra topshaft is because the spring is a smaller diameter than the topshaft. if you turned the rpm hydra topshaft down so that the spring would slide over, it would probably work just fine. but there won't be much wall thickness left where that long set screw goes in. i'd be afraid of it cracking.
