Striker Sonic Fighter FX10 arms on Grasshopper/Hornet ???

Post by losiXXXman »

Anyone know if it can be done? I went to GH2 arms on my hornet for width, but seems like I sacrificed some rigidity.. they twist like a 50's dance craze. These look a little more stout..

i really need to get on the ball and take some finished pics. i replaced the solid upper bar with threaded 4/40 rod and dubro ends, as the uppers that come with the crp front suspension kit are too long. you also need to trim the ends of the arms where they mount inboard (the built in hinge "pin") as they are a bit to long. you'll also need longer steering rods. if you buy the kit from team crp you need to also get the hardware kit (they split them up). and shock of course, dodn't get the ones i have they are period correct and don;t work well and they leak.

it really helps wake the car up, now i can turn at a reasonable speed without flipping. a little weight added to the back of the chassis helps too.

Thanks Kaiser. Now that I think about it, I knew about the CRP kit, and I knew it could be adapted to the GH and Hornet. Guess I should have put 2+2 together  !
