Any news yet if the 4x4 belt conversion for the RC10 will be re-released? It was put out by MIP?

I see them on the Bay once in a while, but man they go for some series cash!!!

I would think that they would do pretty good just from this group!!

Just wondering how you adjust the belt tension when converting from an Optima chain to belt drive. With the chain, you'd slip a 1.5mm Allen key under the chain on the top deck and pull it tight. Is it the same procedure for the belt drive, or can...

I think the belt made a big difference...maintenance wise. I don't believe it increased performance that much. I remember having to adjust the front end constantly due to chain stretch. All that action takes a toll on the chassis rails and screw...

Is there a way or list of parts required to use to convert a chain driven optima into a belt driven version, without replacing parts other than the chain, diff, tensioners etc?

Last post

One point to make about the optima idler is that it uses a bushing set up that can bind up. Not sure the size but you can replace the bushing with flanged bearings and make life easier.

As far as the little lexan cover goes, while it may be a pain...

Hi All,

Does anybody know the date (year) when the belt drive was first made available for the rear engined Optima? Did the kit come with gear or ball diffs (were ball diffs even an option in 1986?)...? I just note that the belt drive option comes...

Got this old girl thrown in a box of rc , pretty poor condition, but getting hard to find.
These used to kick the Tamiya hotshots when i was younger.
Conditions too poor for a shelf queen so going to have some fun instead. Fibreglass chassis, and...

Well finally found a suitable belt for the pulleys Powge S3M516, so 516 teeth.
Looks a bit silly as its only 3mm wide but sourcing a wider one from Xray hopefully.

Also sorted out the CVD's
Found an easier solution for the rocky, ran the 3racing...
