Carbon Fiber and Fiberglass for custom parts

looking for info on what is a good thickness (both CF & fiberglass) to make parts like battery hold downs, shock towers & chassis braces. Do you guys use all the same thickness, what's the minimum, etc...?

Also, where are good places to get the materials?

Most other carbon fiber manufactures will take custom orders as well.

I have access to carbon fiber and a vacuum system to make a chassis of vintage old pan. Any advise out there for thickness of the carbon sheets and designs that may work better for just bashing around or maybe a custom DS build?

Yep the Fastrax top deck was designed for European tracks especially the UK it definately helped for a stiffer chassis I believe Craig Drescher came up with the design and it was sold under CML/Fastrax brand

Tamiya Smoke 2-3 coats
Ductape Brand Carpet Tape
back it with silver paint or silver vinyl
^^ it even gives you this reflective shine in the sun.

What's the best method to clean up the carbon fiber on my original RC10L? I'm giving it a complete going-over and notice the CF just doesn't have the deep sheen it had 21-years ago. It's got a bit of an oxidized look to it and I'd like to bring back...
