Monster Truck body!

Post by Daddeo »

I finally got a body painted for a project I'm doing with my Kyosho Mad Force. Not to bad but could have been way better.

How did you get that effect in the blue paint? It looks as if you sprayed through a piece of rug pad.

Tool box liner material. Shot your contrasting color first through the material then back with your final color. Pretty easy actually.

Looks good, pretty clean. Yeah, the effect is fairly simple. You can use lace too. Another cool trick is the crumpled bag trick. Seriously, we should have a section for paint tricks.

Whoever manufactured that body could have done a better job on the backdoor and backdoor window lines. It just looks out of place compared to the front door lines. Good job on the paint. Your orange and yellow fade looks awesome.

doing it this way is an easy way to get the carbon fiber look also. put a light coat of silver or gold and then do black overcoat and bingo.

Looks great daddeo. I've finally gotten around to owning a respectable airbrush and now I've just got to spin the ambition wheel 8) .
