help finding a thread I know I saw....

Post by jwscab »

OK....I saw a thread just recently someone built an rc10, it had rear wheels that were directional, maybe prolines? Not sure....anyway, I have matching fronts and trying to thin out the stuff in stock and thought whoever it was might be interested in them...... I think it was an old build that someone brought back up recently

the wheels look like this:

Those look like Imex wheels to me..without the chrome.

yep, definitely Imex. One of the best lookin aftermarket wheels IMO. Ran a set similar on my gt and first tube shot I shattered one of the fronts and broke a rear...or viceversa. Either way I have a partial set of trucks in black
( ), set in chrome and a set of buggy in white I just got a month or so ago off here from another member. Nice catch on the thread of asso_man. I remember seeing that thread awhile back and had it in mind but leave it to the all seeing scr8p to remember which thread it was  .

Imex confirmed, I have a set of chromed rears as well, first time I see the fronts actually. Are they in good shape and do they fit RC10 front bearings? If so, I'll take them to match the rears. PM me please! Thanks!

I had a set on the front of my rc10 years ago, think they came with various inserts to fit different bearings

Mine shattered too :(

wasn't imex's slogan something like..... Guaranteed to break before the tires wear out.... or something like that?

if it wasn't it should've been. I bought a set and another bought a set from the LHS and we both shattered a rim before the first tank of fuel was out. Not saying there wasn't any speed or fun involved

i know i broke a few of the truck directionals at Birdsboro BITD. busted the centers right out of them, fronts and rears all 5 support ribs broke all the way around the bearing carrier.
