Romulus First Paint Job out of the Garage

Post by Romulus-10 »

This is my first painted job, still have to work on the decals. Lots of fun and kept the bright colorful theme straight through. I think it looks good with the bright anodized build. Can't wait for my next painting project.

Looks good! Goes well with the anodizing.

It looks well-executed.

The rainbow side-pods are a little heavy-handed ... when using a rainbow theme, a little goes a long way!

The checkerboard came out great. Like bear said, no bleeding on your first paint job is a pretty impressive feat.

First i swear, cross my heart. But i have been working with an air brush for the past 8 years. And the last month thinking it out. It's all about using a fine air brush with light coats, hair drying and letting the coats cool before you touch it, and going slow and taking your time taping. It was very nerve racking, but i am quite happy with it. I can't wait to show everyone my next. I am afraid they are going to all have a vintage to strange style. I really am not into the new spaceship style bodies. I really like the baja 1000 on acid look. Thanks again for the compliments.

The thought and patience shines thru. :D I couldn't agree more. I personally like to see great clean lines with well thought out designs(and yes i meant for that to rhyme). I'm so tired of flames and multi-layered show off crap that I could puke!!!! :x Don't get me wrong, I wish I had the talent to do that, but even if I could I would still keep it simple. Can't wait to see the next! :D

Thats an awesome finish, but if you've been using an air-brush for a while; you're half way there!

Love the retro scheme too, very fitting!
