My $10.00 Koysho Ultima Pro

Post by clhuke64 »

Here is my Koysho Ultima Pro that I picked up at the local thrift store a few month back. It was in a box with a Radio Shack 4X4 truck for $20.00 for the box, so I say that it is my $10.00 Koysho Ultima Pro find. Took the Radio Shack 4X4, cleaned it up and got it running for my buddies 3 year old grandson - great way to start out the next generation of RC'rs. Anyway took the stock wheels and tires off the Pro, fixed the broken front end - It looked like someone hit a curb straight on, that is why I made the upper font tray out of aluminum and added the aluminum plate on the bottom for extra support. Please excuse the aluminum wing - "It is my first attempt" !!!!! I would like to thank everyone who added ideas on which body I could use with tha Pro. Plus I would like to thank RichieRich for the idea of the lowly Outrage body, I sure like the way it turned ot !!! Was going to add white flames on the front of the car over a green back end matching the monster. But after two days of trying to figure out the flames over so many complex corners of the Outrage body - I just gave up and painted the whole thing white !!! And by the way this is "My first RC Car body paint job" !!!!

I wanted to take some pictures outside but here it is snowing again in the Central Oregon High Desert !!!

Great score! I'm sure rest of the Kyosho guys are just as jealous as I am!
Is this going to be a runner?

Good looking buggy. It looks kind of Lazer ZX-ish with the wide front wheels and the Outrage body. I'm actually doing HPI Stars all around on mine too, and got them in on Friday. I'm going to cut mine down to 2wd front width though. Recieved my body on Friday as well, I went with th Optima Pro repop. Guess I need to update my thread too.

Unbelievable! I don't think that would ever happen here in Australia.

It looks great!

Thank You all for the comments,

tsan - Yes it will be a runner, I like to play with my toys  I'm looking to put a Hobby King brushless set-up with li-po batteries in her

losiXXXman - I was going to cut the rims down also, but then she would look like my two RC-10's, I wanted a different look for the Pro.

RichieRich - No problem, If you didn't post the pictures I would have known about the Outrage body, I just can't see paying $50.00 plus dollars for a Ultima Pro body that I'm going to run and beat up

FYI, Kyosho America still has these bodies in stock. If you bust up the one you have, not to worry. I think they are 16 bucks. It may say out of stock but call or e-mail. They respond fast and last they told me, they still had plenty.
