Anybody else livin in 1 of the 14 states got their med card too? Since ive had mine i quit takin all perscription meds for my colitis issues stomach pains and feelin pukey. Its a natural remedy without the side effects. How is it the drug companys can sell meds that the side effects mimic the problem? 1 script I had for the nausia listed nausia and stomach pains as a possible side effect....... I just seen an ad for an astma med that has a high risk of causing death for people with astma....... This is just madness

I live in Ca and well, They are pretty common. Me personally, I don't partake, but if I suffered from anything major it would be the first thing I tried.

I'm sure the only reason it's illegal in a federal sense at this point is because politicians and lobbyists for the drug companies.

I think some people have found relief with Medicinal Canabis but I think the the bulk of the card carrier's use it for recreation. Of all my friends who have cards, I don't think the weed will cure them. I don't have a card cause my job would find out and I'd probably get canned.

What about the fact that it can get anyone around you high? Like little kids or whoever else. Other things like drinking can't do that. I don't know I'm just wondering.

The bigger question here is why would you smoke or drink around your kids?

I really think contact highs are BS. I've never gotten high from just being around pot smokers

I don't mean your kids. I mean if it becomes legal and people are smoking it in public places. It was just something I've wondered about when the legalizing it discussion comes up. Maybe there should be designated places where you're only allowed to smoke it. Kind of like how bars are for drinking.

How many people smoke weed, get in their car and kill someone? Not nearly as many people as there are who do it with alcohol. How many people smoke weed and start fights? How many people do that on alcohol? You can't drink on the public street, why would you be allowed to smoke weed on the public street, should it become legal.

I also have never gotten a contact high and I know a lot of pot smokers and have been to plenty of weed-smoke filled concerts, openings and parties. I don't smoke weed. But I think our laws about it are beyond stupid.

A doctor once told me to up my dosage of a pill that made my stomach hurt and it was for my stomach hurting and nausea that I was perscribed that pill.......OMG WTF is going on in this world? You cant make nature illegal is right

Unfortunatedly, some drugs have possible side-effects that are the same as what they're supposed to cure. Which doesn't mean everyone gets the side-effects. What your doctor should have done is prescribe you a different type of drug to see whether that helped you without the side-effects, not represcribe the same drug...

I quit seein that quack after that. I went to the university hospital where I had my surgeries originally and also a place where they care about the patient and nod milking his insurance pollicy for as much as they can. After dealing with doctors ive come to a conclusion that it dosent pay to have good health insurance they drag out as long as they can, my brother has been goin thru the same thing with his back and finally threw in the towel after almost 4 years and 2 surgeries. I take an antibiotic when i have flairs and thats it. And the crazy thing is a friend in NC who did case studies for a drug company helped me figure out what I needed to have a halfway normal life. My last GI didnt like my ideas i came in with but he wrote the script i asked for. Sometimes all doctors do is get paid and you get no better. Not 1 antinausia pill did crap. Id usually wind up throwing them up. All green all natural and it makes me eat half the food in the house. I was at 135 and im 6 foot four now im up to 170 since i have been using natures medicine. Stupid drug companies

Contact high? It happens. Especially with pets. I personally hope it never becomes legal because some people wouldn't know how to act or handle it. Besides, the government will tax the crap out of it and I bet the quality won't be as good.

And people know how to act and handle alcohol? Whenever I've been around people high on pot the most out of control thing they do is say funny things and sit there with a funny expression. I'd much rather be around someone who is stoned out of their mind than someone who is totally loaded on booze.

As far as quality, I'd assume there would be all kinds of price points and grades, just like legal booze. The bonus is that you would never risk bodily harm or a police record for buying and using it.

In my experience the people who are against legalizing marijuana are people who've spent little time around it and likely haven't tried it. That attitude is not unlike that of religious leaders who are celibate yet insist on dishing out advice and making rules about sex.

It always makes me chuckle the way weed is demonized. In my city we have over 110 medicinal dispenseries. All of these dispenseries are flowing fat cash back to the cities tax coffers.
The quality of the canabis is phenominal. The 215 movement has brought about a renassiance in canabis production. The small amount of legitimacy prop 215 affords brought growers out of the closet. The same care and thought process that goes into producing the fine wines of napa valley are used in the production of canabis. Growers strive to produce unique and more potent strains for the clubs. The canabis is safe from shady additives and generally it’s cheaper than normal street prices.

At a local city up here someone tried openeing a place for card holders to smoke and hang out. It got shot down because the city didnt want people leaving stoned. Like nobody leaves a bar drunk. This is madness in my mind. Ive never seen cannibis make anyone dangerous unless you count a danger to all the food in your house. How many times has alcohol caused violence? Thats a big reason I dont like going out. Too many people get drunk and stupid

Whooha, whooha, whooha MelvinsArmy... In no way am I saying Alcohol is better in any way or that I'd rather see people drinking than smoking. I don't even drink. I'm saying there are people who can't function with a foreign substance in their body, weather it's weed, alcohol, caffine, crack, whatever... So people who don't smoke, don't need to start smoking JUST because it's legal. There are some strains out there that will put the everyday smoker on there tail. Trust me! Do I want to see it legalized? I don't care. It's not going to affect me either way. I'm gonna do what I do when I do what I do.
