Well my interpretation of one anyway.

I picked this runner up off of ebay last year and wasn't quite sure what I wanted to do with it. Turns out it was from JK Racing  after spotting this same pic

in this threadhttp://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=17987.

So I changed out a few things, put big truck tires and front wing on and thought it kind of looked like a Pike's Peak open wheel class car.

Really nice, what are you using for the front spoiler?

If I remember right, that was off of a Frewer Acura Integra body. I had two, and one of the bodies got destroyed, but I had a different wing on it. This one doesn't have those mounting stubs that are on so many other wings, plus the aero profile seemed perfect. You can see my original mounting holes from when it had been a rear wing still.

Wow, it's so weird that you posted this. I have an oval truck build going with a McAllister lowering kit and at one point had considered a buggy body and wondered what might work to get around the front shocks. I had thought of splicing a buggy body, but I like your technique better. Very unique!

I had cut a few pieces of flat lexan and was going to cover that front area a bit. Maybe find a way to mount it to the McAllister, but really, the McAllister functions well as a front body mount with the body wrapped around it. My other concern was air trying to blow through there at speed, lifting the body off, but the front spoiler seems to be doing its job of redirecting the air up and over. I think I will leave it be, use velcro on the sides if needed in the future.

Nice ride!

Please post a close-up of the front end if you get a chance. I can't seem to fit nose tubes on my set-up. The shocks bottom out too. Thanks!

your parts are probably for the rc10 graphite, not a tub chassis.

Maybe raise the front shock mount and use 0.71 shocks instead of the 0.56 you have right now :?:

I remember putting a spacer under the center shock mount to clear the nose tubes. I think the shocks were .56 on all 4 corners.
