Any Canadians on this board?
Hi everyone, I'm wondering if there are any Canucks here, maybe from the GTA / Ontario? I pulled out my vintage gold pan from 1987 that was still all original a few months ago at my sons request. Funny enough, the old ni-cd charged up and ran the car beautifully. I was hooked again!
Just looking to meet up with some guys who have more knowledge than I do about this stuff as I'm finding a lot of the new technology to be a bit confusing.
Hope to talk to and meet up with some of you guys soon!

GTA, eh? That's too far west for me
I'm down the road from you in Kingston. There are several Canadians here and oddly enough, they're all friendly. Just look for the people who spell colour the correct way, with a 'u'

Re: Any Canadians on this board?
Hi. there are tonnes of Canadians on these boards! I'm from the GTA. (Mississauga, actually)
While its not a vintage thing, feel free to drop by our T.O. track (season opener is this Sunday), in the Home Depot parking lot at Dufferin & the 401. http://www.youtube.com/tsan76#p/u/52/zjPQLlsXGw0 [/shamless plug]
We also run our 1/10 scale buggies in the Tarmac Buggy class. (personally, I'm not sure I'd be brave enough to run one of my vintages!)

Awesome, thanks for the replies guys! Out of curiousity, what are you guys all driving / flying or whatever? All I have right now is the aforementioned RC10 and a Blade mCX2 helicopter. Well, if you count model rockets I have a few of those too

Re: Any Canadians on this board?
Just down the 401 in Ottawa! Off road is really taking off here. We currently have 1 outdoor dirt, 1 indoor carpet and there will be a clay track built for the Canadian Nationals in July.
Not much vintage going on though. Just me it seems.
We should try to organize a vintage meet in Southern Ontario this summer. Something real casual. I would be up for a drive down to get dirty!

Hey guys, thanks for the warm welcome! I might be interested in racing with my poor old RC10...as long as its fast enough to keep up with your modern cars! lol
I posted pics here in this thread if you guys want to critique my stuff:
