rc10L3 #2 acquired

Post by teman »

I found an inexpensive "getting out of racing" lot so I jumped on it  It turned out to be more parts than expected (too much to list - multiple motors, gears, chasis etc), I almost could build 2 cars and then some 8)

There's some pretty cool parts on this one like blue team bulkheads, shocks & servo mounts. There's a Racing Servo up front with some unknown to me parts like the front axles/camber adjust set-up, adjustable center shock mount and an odd yellow axle? I robbed my newer electronics to get this running and added my other set of BSR caps. It's pretty cool, better photos when there's more light

Buying in 'bulk' is a great idea!

After more research about this 1, I see now the turnbuckes are Lunsfords and possibly the front axles 8)
I added the front bumper, used the older style nerf bar and more blue hardware also of course

Here's the body I made, it's a HPI supra  White backspray, custom vinyl silver windows and red graphics topped off with some of the HPI decals :D

More parts for #2 arrived  It was a decent deal on a set of r5 hubs and I already had the diff rings for them (the notched kind). I also found out something cool, the r5 motor bulkhead brace fits my front castor adjust set-up 8) I figure it fits the stock set-up also.

The shock mount and castor blocks are from Hyperdrive racing. You also have the servo saver pointing in the wrong direction, it should be pointed towards the chassis. Yellow axle looks like old IRS.
