My Optima Mid - project

Got hold of this Mid (favourite ever RC car), and plan to strip, & rebuild, replacing a few parts on the way.

It's in cracking shape, albeit very dusty! No broken parts at all. Pretty sure it started of as a standard Mid, but has UJ drive shafts all round, platinum shocks, different turnbuckles, and shock towers. It also came with alluminium wheels, and a large rear bumper fitted! There was also a Speedworks motor fitted (don't see many of those any more)

I have a NIP turbo chassis to use, and new top deck. Have also bought some new OT-66 style tyres to fit to original style plastic wheels and new shell/decals from Marwan RC (superb)

Looking forward to this one, as I'm pretty familiar with the Mids, unlike the RC10's and Yokomo I bought.

Very nice start! I love the Mids too. The bumper on the back is very interesting, never seen that before. Keep us posted on this project.

Cheers Red Scampi. That bumper will be coming off, but it had done a good job of protecting the rear end, it's spotless. Will definitely add updates
