This year, I ordered up micro helis for all of the adult children to destroy on Christmas morning. Still waiting on 2 more to show up but I cant wait to watch the mayhem in the living room come Christmas morning. I'm going to charge them all up before we wrap them so they're ready to go. Only 2-3 of them can be flown at the same time (mine is a 2.4ghz that hasnt arrived yet) but I dont think I'm going to tell them and just sit back and enjoy the carnage Only 4 of them are going to the same place.
Yea, those are all infrared. I'll try to get the video; none of them have flown helis before (not that these are too tough being 3 channel coax). I expect the woman and pets be chased mercilessly
Hah, well I'll fess up with what I bought myself for Christmas. My wife, son, and daughter will be happy with theirs so it's not like I'm a Grinch (my son is getting a FT RC10B4 kit).
I'm really excited to start this build. Can't decide if I want to get anymore parts to have at the ready when I build it in addition to those hubs (youch! $$) and the RPM arms. Maybe the Avid RC motor plate, still reading and learning on rctech.net.
I bought a bunch of those style helis for my groomsmen as thank you presents at my wedding. 7 grown men, very......very drunk, flying these things around a hotel. Not a hotel room but the hotel lobby, atrium, elevators, everywhere. It was amazing.

i got myself an ABC genetic 4wd mini class racer:
How cool is that!!!
I got one of the helicopters a few years ago - it seems they've improved since then, mine was a 'PiccoZ' which you kinda guided around rather than fly with any kind of positive control.. I brought two more - one for my dad & one for my uncle & all three flew differently. These latest helis seem much more positive & more scale looking too

My JRX2 is ALMOST ready to be completed. I just received some of the innards that will be going in. All of them brand new in package. Looking at these things sitting here in their packages, it really seems like a shame to open them. It's almost like...

DerbyDan,
I have certainly made up my mind about soldering the car up in a RTR fashion. I cut the body out last night and it came out amazing. I spent almost 2 hours trimming and dremmeling to make it flawless. I spent a lot of time test fitting to...
Somebody asked a while back about part #'s associated with bulk items that might be used on R/C stuff from McMaster. Well, I got bored at work, so here goes...
Yeah that was my bad. The 10mm rings would prob work much better.
There are o ring suppliers you can probably get in touch with to get the silicone o rings in bulk. Team durango sells blue silicone ones, 8 to a pack so not very cost effictive.
I bought this Kinwald xx over two years ago and put a brushless system in it. I quickly realised that my driving skills would only destroy it so i retired it to the shelf. The plan was to clean it up and fit some bling. After many months of...

87 tooth b4c gear with 19th pinion. It seems perfect for intro into brushless....took a bit to adjust the losi diff...and then get the external slipper just right turns into a preference thing. I run the losi diff fairly tight as recommended by...
I shuffled some parts around and now can move forward on another one of these. I couldn't do the chassis mods i typically like to do because they were already redone in blue. The only thing I did do was move the servo forward to get a little more...

Scr8p doesn't look anything like his avatar pic!
Just like fat girls on Instagram, its all about camera angles.

And in case anyone wondered, that's not a mullet. I party in the front too.
Pic from out my hobby room window. Track will be to the right of the sidewalk. Roughly 30' wide by 60-70' feet long. Now I just have to get my honey-do-list done before I can start...

thanks for the heads up on that. i looked into that this morning, seems pretty simple. just sucks that it goes by color recognition so everyone's bodies will have to be a different color.
Lap Trax is the same. It worked fairly well for me in the...
