Re: Mid East outdoor get together/ discussion
Since this has come up again, how many people are actually interested? It seemed like the timing might have been bad for some-

The indoor facility, that you had mentioned looked really neat. When my son & I looked into it, it appears to be closed for now. We are about 45 minutes northwest from you. We have some old/vintage "junk" that we are just getting started with. Nothing "professional". Can you suggest any indoor or outdoor tracks, for us to check out?

Re: Mid East outdoor get together/ discussion
Depending on how north west you are from me, there is an outdoor track in Siler City, King NC, and a few others east of you near Raleigh-
The track in King is the nicest outdoor I have been to, but I've heard good things about the other on in Siler City-

We live between biscoe and albemarle. We went to the one in king. It's awesome, but that's too far to go regularly @ an hour and a half. The outdoor one in asheboro is closed for remodeling we think. Siler is a good hour. I will have to see if I can find some info on it.Charlie don't surf wrote:Depending on how north west you are from me, there is an outdoor track in Siler City, King NC, and a few others east of you near Raleigh-

Asheboro is closed for good (unless someone bought it). Bluegroove will not reopen in.my opinion sadly... There is a place in lillington as well, maybe a jaunt down 24/27 wouldn't be too bad

Lillington... I believe I,m an hour and a half for any track maybe asheboro will reopen. The track is just sitting there. We drove past the weekend before last.Better yet I should give the kids some shovels! My wife would love thatCharlie don't surf wrote:Asheboro is closed for good (unless someone bought it). Don't feel bad, Bluegroove was 1 1/2 hours away from me, and everything else is too (Pinehurst) The guy in Asheboro wanted $150 per month to rent and operate the track, but wanted all or most of his initial investment of pipe, clay and fencing back first. Too bad, its a nice track-

"supposed" to re-open in April & the sign outside said $5 per person to race for the day....Charlie don't surf wrote:Don't feel bad, Bluegroove was 1 1/2 hours away from me, and everything else is too (Pinehurst) The guy in Asheboro wanted $150 per month to rent and operate the track, but wanted all or most of his initial investment of pipe, clay and fencing back first.
