What aftermarket parts are on my 10L?
What aftermarket parts are on my 10L?
My uncle gave me this 10L awhile back and just curious to see what or if any aftermarket parts are on it. The turnbuckles, front brace, shock, rear hubs, the plastic diffuser under the motor, wing mounts, and a aluminum motor mount look different than most I see. The shock is black and plastic? where most I see are gold.
I only have two pics so hopefully someone with a trained eye can tell me what it has.

If the shock is exactly like a Associated shock, but in black (aluminium by the way), it's a HPI RS-10 shock.
The motor mount is possibly an optional Associated part, but we'd need a better picture to confirm.

The upper pod brace looks like the stock Associated part to me, the HPI part has an additional piece of carbon on the right side.scr8p wrote:the rear hubs are hpi as well, probably the upper pod brace too.

....
Looks like a MIP Teflon coated shock to me. I have a set of .71s and eBay just hosed me out of a pair .56 bodies last night.
Re: What aftermarket parts are on my 10L?
The shock does not look like an associated shock, there is no hex on the the shock body. It is completely round.EvolutionRevolution wrote:If the shock is exactly like a Associated shock, but in black (aluminium by the way), it's a HPI RS-10 shock.

I will see if I can get my camera back today so I can get some better pics.

If they look like the shocks on the back of my RC10...except shorter...they're MIP shocks.

These were the .56 from eBay:
