So I finally got to take my T4 out for a spin tonight. It has a Reedy brushless and ESC with a gens ace lipo. The first thing I noticed is that the thing is quiet and so smooth compared to my RC10. The other thing is that this thing jumps so effortlessly compared to every other car I have including the b44, and rc8be. I'm going to try and use the setup as a template for my other cars.
The weird thing is that even though the associated servo is slow, thing thing is really tail happy and likes to oversteer very easily. Part of that is likely just the goosebumps tires though.
Sorry no pics yet but I'm hoping to get some new turnbuckles and a new body because the current one is beat up and doesn't have a rear wing anymore.
Should there be play when i mount my axel drive gears to the drive gear pivot after i install the button head screws or do i need to shim them so they are tighter? (approx step 42 in the original...

Just saw these listed at RC Carbon works... they look like take offs of the old trackmaster transmissions.
I'm just unclear where the parts to complete them could be found? Like the belt, the stand offs/spacers, the correct diff, and...

Don't really know which was more appealing or desirable, just something different. I kinda assumed the direct drive was designed for more on-road and the belt for off-road, just a guess. I've seen them both ways. Trackmaster also made an oval...

Wish I could work on my speed project, or any project. It's amazing how fast life changes with a kid. Enjoy your time with your toys, I wouldn't change it for anything though.

So I’m going to try and put a Hydra-Drive together. I’ve had a look through all the threads I can find but I can’t find a rebuild thread.
I’ve found the instructions thanks to links from the site.
Up to this point I have only found this part,...

Looks good, I wouldnt look for a rebuild kit because that only has the pieces you have already. You need the thrust bearing/washer and spring with the plastic spring housing. The good thing is the thrust bearing is easily available on ebay but the...
Monday my wife and I went to see Ted at the Milford NH drive in. They had a small dirt track with a bunch of slashes for rent. You got 5 minutes for $3.00. Figured it was cheap enough so I went for it. It was a blast! They have the trucks tuned...

The wife really enjoyed it. If they enjoy Family Guy then the movie will be hilarious.
Was going to bring my SC10, but forgot and left it at home. I doubt they will let you throw your own on the track though, but the ones they provide are decent....
