Rc10gt brushless/trans questions

Post by Dirtcar75 »

I am wanting to do a rc10gt brushless conversion and was wondering if the gt trans is the same as a typical stelth trans out of say a t3? If soo i could just use a customworks motor mount and spacers and be done! but otherwise i have seen guys use pan can motor mounts and then have to brace them with tie rods and such because of chassis flex any help would be great thanks dj

The trans in the GT. is completely different than any other so no mount will bolt right up. There was some guy who made a motor mount for the GT chassis but the pan car mount sounds just as easy. Great idea too.

Here's mine. A brace for the motor mount would be something I recommend. I only ran mine a couple of times before shelfing it so it wasn't much of an issue for me. Ran strong though. They convert very nicely.
