Buggy Champ RC10..?

Post by losiXXXman »

SInce there have been a few Scorcher10s I was wondering if anyone had done a SRB RC10 one. I love to watch the videos of the guys (mostly UK) bashing out their Rough Riders, Buggy Champs, and Super Champs on youTube. I just cannot justify the cost of that Tamiya buggy with its suspension design. Why not throw that body on the better suspension of an RC10? Mr. Lexan says the Funco single seater fits a RC10, so I got to thinking it'd be a cool project. Just wanted to see if it had been done before. (I'd probably build on an Ultima though as that 's what have lots of parts for at the moment.) Would love to see some pics if anyone's done such a thing, or has the stuff laying around to mock it up....

Jay needs to get on that shiz! It's a pretty chassis but that would be a cool buggy.

Part of the allure of an SRB is that they drive like a turd.

There's a picture in the scan archives: showing the cover of a magazine with a picture of a pre-production RC10 = with that SRB body

I got a funco single seater body from Jay and have fitted it to a traxxas TCP now. Looks real good but I have not taken pics yet

It looked even better on my stinger MKII: I guess that's why Jay uses a picture of it on ebay ;)

Not an ulitma, but it would look similar and certainly fit as well:

A replica of Gene's car is on my long list of to do's. Here's a picture of the body.

That little spoiler on the back , and the lack of netting in the sides windows makes me think this body looks like the MRP Mears body (which I just saw in TBG's)
The rear part of the funco is a lot sexier though ;)
