Durability of peroxide whitened parts

Post by Caine »

Does anyone use whitened parts on theyre runners or just purely for the shelf?

I know there can be strength issues with the white nylon parts sometimes as it is even thou i havent had any concerns as of yet!
Does the peroxide treatment radically change the strength/ flexibility of the parts?

Sometimes i think my car looks like its made of cheese the parts have yelowed so much and just wondered wether to have a go or just leave them be

Cheers

I run all whitened parts on my CE racer, I did break a rear arm, but it was a really hard hit. Surprised it was an arm and not the mount.

All mine have been for shelfers so far, but I definitely haven't noticed any drastic changes. The only change I can see is jow much better they look. I have noticed that the treatment is not as effective on badly yellowed parts. I did a short arm car that pretty bad and it barely made any difference.

at the grocery store or pharmacy.

my 10t has whitened parts, 3 vonats, multiple mod races and no breakages.

I don't think the British or the Americans have Dollerama do they?

That being said, that's where I'll get mine... :)
