The Rc10 worlds car I forgot I had! <found the box too!>
Brand new to the forum. I fly rc planes a lot, but there's a dirt track right next to the runway that finally caught my eye and sent me back home searching for my old car Id forgotten almost 20 years ago, I found it, the radio and the charger (the box is still mia but is around somewhere)! Not sure what I should do with it? Leave it as is on a shelf, upgrade to newer lipos and motor, fix the bare minimum keep it nostalgic and drive it casually or sell it and buy something newer? I'm most likely to just find a couple modern batteries and keep it close to original. Everything worked last time I remember....

Wow, too cool. I love the "this is how it was 20 years ago" thing. I would clean it up and display it on a shelf proudly exactly as it is.
If you want to sell it to me I wont stop you

Surprised it didn't self-combust, or something else bad happen, having left it plugged in like that all this time.cole455 wrote: Everything worked last time I remember....

That's way too nice to run! Shelf that puppy! I'm very jealous, that's my ultimate RC10.

I would not run it. If you feel like running vintage pick up a well used on ebay or wait a few months for the new issue RC10.

Great buggy! New member here. Hi. That buggy needs to be preserved please.
Re: Rc10 worlds car I forgot I had!
The best RC10 imho
There is a strong market for the vintage electronics these days. Someone was trying to sell the vintage batteries on Ebay for $100 or something daft. So you have a fine set of kit there. I'd run it just as it is.
I also have a World's with a ton of spares. If you get stuck for a part let me know. The outdrives are a bitch to find.

Thanks for the compliments, guys! I think I'll give it a light cleaning and shelf it while I search for a beater to run. Looks like ebay has tons of projects I could utilize and not devalue by running.

I wish I had my original truck still and in that good of shape! Great to see that it looks just as good 20 years later.

I'm searching ebay as we speak. Kind of a round about way of asking the forbidden question. Hoping to find a BIN of $200.

Hmm... I must've given the wrong impression... You'll be searching the bay for a while
I rarely ever sell anything (I'm still sporting 3 boats, in fact!)
I'm planning on keeping it in addition to acquiring a couple beaters... Is there anything I should do to preserve for display? Specifically the tires.
