YZ-10 shock oil

I have just picked up a YZ-10 for resale. Actually in pretty good condition. Sounds like most of the shock oil is still in them but I would like to take them off, clean them up, and refill them with some fresh oil. I have had a few before but don't have indepth knowledge of them like I do with the RC-10's. This Yokomo has the original purple/blue shocks. What is a good general choice for shock oil weight?

Does depend on the track, but thats what I tend to use

Thaks dude but I think I am going to leave it alone because I want to leave it in as found condition. It's going to be in the bst.

Needing Shock Oil , mostly for T3s and other AE (MGT, DS, yada, yada), but also own Traxxas (Rustlers, Street Sports, REVO). So, what do we get? Can one be used in place of the other, and maybe not be vice versa?
I know its not a vintage question,...

I decided to take a break from the RC-10's and build up a T-MAXX from my parts. I was just wondering what you guys think is a good medium weight for the original shocks?

The stock oil is supposedly 30wt, but I would say more like 20-25. I would go with 30-35wt. Associated oil.

Love this guys videos. He has some great tear downs of tools.
His latest has him using some Losi shock oil.

I am guessing he discovered this when he was working on this video for kinetic sand creation.

I'm sure there must be cheap substitutes for the different weights of oil sold for our RC oil-filled shocks. I see references to 30 weight, 35 weight, etc...but I think a 5W30 or 10W30 motor oil would be much too thick. What do you guys use instead...

gotta make sure the mustard is a fine grind though, I made the mistake once and you should see the car pogo after the small particles of seed plug the pistons and bind the shock up solid!
