2.8 wheels and tires on a T4.1
I'm trying to get some ground clearance so I can run my T4.1 in the grass in my yard. I noticed most of the wheels and tires are from Traxxas with the hex hub. I noticed Team Associated has come out with the 12mm clamping hex but I'm not sure of the size on the Traxxas wheels. Does anyone have any ideas of what I can run to get some ground clearance?

Re: 2.8 wheels and tires on a T4.1
I know this is an older thread, but figured I'd answer. The TRX wheels do use 12mm hexes, and the Talon is an awesome all terrain type tire. I run them on my beast GT:

However, while putting them on the rear with adapters is a snap, mounting them on the front requires some work. I'm not aware of any 12mm hex hubs for the Associated trucks, which means you need to get creative. My GT is sporting my own custom 1/4" steel axles (I was going through 3/16" aluminum spindles like cheap socks), so I epoxied plastic 12mm adapters into the TRX wheels and then bored them to 3/8" all the way through and used flanged 1/4"x3/8" bearings.
