My Andys R/C10 build up
well my first idea was to build the car to have some fun with but the racing bug is strong in me and want to go racing again
so here is the car
and after a little clean up
the good :
complet Andys Chassy kit
alum bell cranks
full bearings
steath tranty
titanum tie rods
Dragon stock motor
the bad :
rear axel are worn bad
missing :
top shock tower bushings
dust cover
front body mount
battery holder
some things i would like to do is find a andys battery hold down and a losi hydro slipper coversion .. and get it running again

Re: My Andys R/C10 build up
pray you don't break a front arm, you'll wait years to find replacements (unless you're lucky ).
there are others that can be made to work though, if needed.

Re: My Andys R/C10 build up
I have to agree with scr8p...I would clean that one up and just shelf it or take it outside and run it easy...If you break that car you will find that some of those parts will be very hard and expensive to replace...

Re: My Andys R/C10 build up
so ive been looking and i can get the front and rear arms through egay so im going to pick up a backup set just incase ... ive got a sheet of carbon fiber around somewhere and when i find it im going to make a copy of the shock towers .. i know i can buy them but ive got the carbon already
the andys battery box looks like its going to be a pain to find so ive been thinking of doing a losi holder and just shave the losi logo off
ive got some 3m hood protector film so im going to cover the bottom of the chassy and try to keep it as clean as i can

Re: My Andys R/C10 build up
not the front ones. those are pro race arms on your car for the narrow bulkhead. i guarantee the ones you found are standard rc10 replacements.integra22t wrote:so ive been looking and i can get the front and rear arms through egay so im going to pick up a backup set just incase ...

Re: My Andys R/C10 build up
these are pretty much your only option...... for readily accessible parts:
http://dynotech-racing.com/partDetail.php?RefNum=2701
just to point out these do not come in pairs, so you must order 2. you will also need need 10t or gt inner hinge pins (though i see the ones on your car are longer than the ones that should be on there so you may luck out), and some spacers on the inside of the inner hinge pin area to make up for the arm being wider at that spot.
or, you could just get those arms, and a 10t/gt front bulkhead, and you won't need any spacers.

Re: My Andys R/C10 build up
so the car is all apart and eveything is clean and ready to be put back together except for the tranty .. i found out there wasnt any disk left so someone just put the 2 haves together and added a spacer to take the room of the spring .. got to find more parts
i whent down to the local hobby shop and whent through all the TA parts and found a couple little things i need ..slipper spring, tirod ends, tiny c clips as i know as soon as they spring away you will never find it ... i also picked up the viper body and a 5 1/2" wing now just have to find a shock tower mount as the Andys rear bulkhead doesnt have tube holes
hmm any ideas
