Parma Dune Buggy Body on a 10T?

Post by teman »

Parma PAR1236 - I think it's pretty cool, but it's made to fit a slash  I'm sure it's pretty wide so it fit short course trucks, but I'm curious if anyone has tried to fit one on a 10T or newer, or maybe even slammed on a 10 buggy :?:

I think the wheelbase would need adjusting to look right.

Only ~ 1/2" difference, the slash of course being longer. I might give it a try, it's a little bit pricey though. I dig the old Myers Manx look, so it might be worth a shot 8)

I saw that a while back, it looks like more of a scale project to me. I think he used the 1/18 for revo body for that too, not the 1/10 slash version?

I guess I have my answer, no one has tried

I grabbed the 1/16 Slash version this week to try out. Looking at the specs again it might work, anxious to get my hands on it to see *fingers crossed*

You can flip the front arms left to right, so they are mounted on the truck "backwards", and that will give you most of the extra wheelbase you need to run sc bodies. Might still come up slightly short for some bodies, but for that one i think it would be good. This will make your front end sit a little lower,so you might want to adjust for that. That body is pretty cool. 8)

The 1/16th is too short and not deep enough to slam it  I may try the larger slash body but it's huuuge... Length: 22.25" (565.15mm) Width: 13.5" (342.9mm) at widest point Height: 7.25" (184.15mm) :?

being a dune buggy body, the wheelbase isn't such a bog issue, but the overall size will still make it look funny. 1/10 SCT chassis are dimensionally almost identical to 1/8 buggies, quite a bit larger than other 1/10 scales-including STs.
