so if there is a B stamped on the inside of the backend of the pan does that mean that i have the stealth transmission

it means your chassis is drilled for one. it doesn't necessarily mean that's the trans you have (without seeing pics)......

What is the best gear lube to put in this, I don't want to kill it even though I have another one in the parts truck that i am using

No lube on the gears, just in the diff. The idler and diff gear are nylon/delrin; they don't need lubrication, and it just becomes a dust magnet (which actually will damage the gears)

Anyone try a modern 17.5 brushless in a older 2.25 stealth transmission. I would be really curious to know how it went. It should be a lot easier to gear because of the lower transmission ratio. Please let me know if you have done this, how it felt...

What about rotating mass since both the diff gear and the motor pinion are going to be smaller for the 2.25 stealth?

Is there other associated truck tranny parts that will work/replace the #6585 clutch disk, #6584 outer hub and #6583 clutch hub for the stealth tranny? Anyone even have these replacement parts?

I believe when I first started looking they were all sold. I thought the newer one was a replacement...no biggy I always like upgrades! lol

Trying to learn about the stealth transmission. So reading the sticky 25 years of RC10 , am I correct the stealth came in white and black plastic? If so, how do you tell a non-stealth from a stealth? What make the stealth special? I can ask a few...

With new Stealth Transmission kits unavailable, I created a wish list online at A-Main hobbies of all the individual parts to build one.
Adding up the nickels and dimes, the grand total would be $167 USD. Only one part is missing (left out-drive)....

Hi guys,I always thought the stealth was commercialy available prior to 1990. Was I wrong or was it released before then?

I was the first order for the retrofit kit (the stand alone tranny that came by itself with the jig to drill your chassis) at my LHS and that was in the winter of 1990.

hi guys, i have just got my first rc10 champ buggy and need some info. sorry if this has already been asked. Does anyone know what DP the teeth are on the 6gear and the stealth. i have been trying to fit newer pinion gears and im finding the teeth...
