Finman's Losi JRX2
I recently bought this JRX2 from Markbt73 with the idea of making it a nice runner with a few 'upgrades', mainly to do with the difficulty of obtaining original parts.
This is how it arrived.
Also managed to get hold of the 5 link rear set up.
Although they are missing the lower shock mount!!
Already ordered some parts from Sabultech, shock mounts, steering arm set and antenna mount, and from various places on ebay some threaded shock bodies and various fasteners.
Have started to strip it down and now looking for some suggestions for turnbuckles (just like them all to match!) trying to avoid lunsford because of the costs.
Updates maybe slow because delivery times!!
Rich
PS I have found Wheelspin Models - just round the corner for me (6 miles) although I still have to mail order!!

Re: Finman's Losi JRX2
As far as the turnbuckles go, you've got the original hex centred steel versions that came with the kit or, in my opinion, some Lunsford Ti.
Just using this link as an example...
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lunsford-Turnbuckle-Kit-1-3-4-4-LNS1167-/181327974440?pt=Radio_Control_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2a37fd5028
Lunsford Ti can be quite inexpensive......you'll need to measure up but I'm fairly sure that this kit will do both the steering, and the front end tie rods. The 5-Link rear tie rods need to be 1 1/8" long IIRC...
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lunsford-Racing-1-1-8-Punisher-Plus-Titanium-Turnbuckle-Kit-LNS1062-/221391481243?pt=UK_ToysGames_RadioControlled_JN&hash=item338bf5e99b
Measure up and shop around, it's definitely worth it.

Re: Finman's Losi JRX2
Started the strip down, as mentioned before will replace fasteners, turnbuckles, ball cups, e clips etc.
Also found the aluminium parts wing mounts and steering posts 'chewed' (why can't people be more careful with pliers?) so ordered some more.
Thought the gearbox seemed a little notchy so stripped it down
The diff is missing two balls !! Ordered some ceramic replacements. You can also see Daniels, oldrc.com, new out drive rings in red.
Now got to see the chassis with all the scratches, would like to tidy it up thought about filling the extra holes with epoxy and maybe a matt black vinyl cover ?
Now waiting for the next delivery!!

WhoKnowsWho where are you based?
Do you already have a bag of five link stuff and want the H-arms, if so I might be able to help.

The JRX2/T/Pro was part of a box of parts I won on eBay years ago. I believe I have all the parts to build the 5 link suspension, but never tried at the time.
I have the manuals now so I'll try when I have a chance. Thanks for the offer of help. If I have less than I think I do, I may need it
