RC10 Graphite Runner
RC10 Graphite Runner
Hi all,
With a lot of research on here and help from some awesome members, I've finally brought my RC10 Graphite back from the dusty basement. I got into RC's way back in the mid 80's and my first real rc was a Futaba FX-10. My Dad (he funded and played crew cheif) and I got into racing on carpet ovals at a local skating rink. The FX-10 was fun but after a season or two I wanted something different. A few friends already had RC-10 gold pans, so when the RC-10 Graphite came out I had to have it. I raced it for three more seasons and had a blast with it.
My Dad has since passed and even though I could have probably bought a new RC-10 cheaper than what I put into this thing, it was awesome reviving something we did together and gave us both something to bond over and share together. Anyway, here are some pictures of it all finished up. Thanks to all of you for the informative posts and help you give on this forum.

Looks awesome. I like the carbon fiber towers and the black arms. Did you dye them or put new ones in?

Re: RC10 Graphite Runner
Guys,
Thanks for the kind words. This was a labor of love. As for the arms. All of my original parts were dyed Maroon way back when I first got her. Over the years, the dye faded to a nice shade of pink. So I ended up buying all new parts and dying what ever wasn't black already. I really like the carbon fiber shock towers too, I just need to stop flipping it over and banging them up.
Thanks,
Dave

Great Looking Car, i like the Custom Bracket for the speed controller, the graphites are a little cramped for space and this fixes the problem nicely

Thanks, my Dad worked at a plastics manufacturing plant. The bracket was his addition made out of some bent up scraps from work. At one point, he even built me a custom dual axle race trailer out of lexan to pull behind my Eagle. It held two sets of foam tires and the RC-10 nicely. I wish I still had that laying around too.
Thanks,
Dave
