short rear hubs

Post by DMAT »

so im trying to set some wheels that have a really deep offset on my 10. The issue is because of the offset, im rubbing the turnbuckle on the rear carrier. Is there a compact version of these that is shorter or am i left with just modifying the ones i have?

Im running 3/16 UJ's so newer stuff can work too, it just needs to be shorter.

I can modify, id just prefer not too if possible

I think i should check my gold and silver build too. those might not have as deep an offset.

Jconcepts have an offset ballcup that might work for you.

i guess i should have clarified, it would hit the rear carrier too if i were able to fully tighten it down. I need to find a rear hub carrier that is in general shorter in height. something like these but in plastic.

The B5 has a custom rear hub that is really small too. im not sure how well it fits though.

Custom works has a top ball mount rear hub. I'd give you a link or thread to look at but on a tablet its tough.

yes, those are the ones. I know they have been used for the WOIN builds but I don't know for sure how they compare to the stock hub. I do have a pair, if no-one else chimes in, I can take a quick measurement, but gonna take a little time to figure out where I put them.

the other option, is to just modify a stock pair. trim the top off, and drill a top mount ball to get you kind of close to stock geometry. you can also lower the ball on the bulkhead to compensate.
