B3 rear arm mount question
For those whom know....I have already ordered a couple replacement sets (hoping the B2 rear mounts are the same!!)...as I am cleaning up my B3, I noticed the rear mounts 'say' different things. R3/3 (I know this is 3 degrees in, 3 degrees squat), but the other says L2....
I am sure they are mismatched, hoping not, but fear the worst...

Re: B3 rear arm mount question
one other thing joey, hopefully you don't get a pack of the early b2 #9265 3 degrees rear suspension mounts. those are drilled for 4-40" screws and requires the earlier b2 rear chassis plate (#9240). all the later b2/b3/t3 suspension mounts all come drilled for 5-40" screws. the rear chassis plate (#9241) for the buggies and truck were updated too for the larger screws.
this might also be true too for the earlier b2 #9266 2 degrees rear suspension mounts. be aware of that when buying a pack of sus. mounts.
this is the supplement that came with the rear sus. mounts when they made the change over...

Re: B3 rear arm mount question
Looks like you may have a mismatch. Try to get 9267 and use the washer.
B2 mounts are hard to find. 4-40 screws and less material on the top for the rear screw to go in. These mounts are gold! The chassis plate can accommodate the 4-40 or 5-40 screws with no modification. If you do have the 4-40 version, please do not use them.

Re: B3 rear arm mount question
Rod, the parts I got from tower are 5/40 for the B3. On tower it is listed as a B2 rear mount.

Re: B3 rear arm mount question
Yea it was always a B2 part first, but it was updated just like many of AE's parts, it kept the same part number and description.JK Racing wrote:Rod, the parts I got from tower are 5/40 for the B3. On tower it is listed as a B2 rear mount.
If you ever find 4-40 ones, lmk!

Re: B3 rear arm mount question
I run a couple B3's myself, would love to hear any setup tips you guys come up with!
I recently cracked a front shock tower (ran into a Monster Truck...),
I ordered a Fiber-Lyte CSC tower with the cross-brace - I'm actually installing it tonight!

Re: B3 rear arm mount question
I really should have a build thread, but I didnt take many pictures. Slinging paint tonight, putting my purple down on lexan.
I'm starting with #2 - 32.5 green, #1 - 30 silver - front/rear. Geared 33/69 with a 17.5 (blinky). Tell you more after this weekend.

Re: B3 rear arm mount question
glad to hear that there are folks running B3's!
Wil follow the thread with interest!
Your setup, witch grip-level would that be?
@ dldiaz: pictures of your new tower would be nice...
