Rear Arm Mount

Post by RcMonk »

Seeing all the cool RC10's on this board has made me want to get my old car out (RC10CE) and run it again. However, I didn't realize the rear arm mount is broken. The manual says part #6360 but it seems to be discontinued (Tower). Did a search and it seems the rear arm mount from a RC10GT may fit. It looks quite different from #6360, maybe it works with some modifications. Has anyone been able to use the RC10GT mount on their RC10CE ? Any other suggestions would be great too.

you can get the rear sem mounts in aluminum for $5 + shipping per pair. The purple should come right off with standard de-anodizing methods(oven cleaner)

Dropped by the local hobbyshop and picked up the RC10GT rear arm mount (#7651) since it looked like it will fit. got home and realized it doesn't fit. The holes on the mount does not line up with the gold tub chassis, its pretty close though. You figure associated would just keep the hole spacing the same  It might still work if I re-drill the mount hole and securing the mount screw with a locknut.

I have some NIP RPM rear mounts I'm going to list on ePay with a $14.95 BIN. A bit more than the $5 ones from tower but less likely to break in the future

Bummer man......I only managed to get one pair. Think it sold out within a few hours after aconsola (Thanks again!!) posted the link. $5 was a good deal. If anyone needs them, the blue ones are still available but at a higher price (linky http://www.hobbyetc.com/cgi-bin/item.cgi?part_id=10945). Its a perfect fit but I'm not crazy about the purple anodize, will try oven cleaner to get it to off. Was going to post pics of the mounts from GPM but forgot all about it. Its Here you go.
